Modelling

The last couple of days I have been in front of the camera as well, even though I don't really like it. The first thing I did was wearing a white brides dress laying on some washing machines... Strange, but if I can be to any help to my classmates... I will post a picture from that as soon as I get Mette to send it to me.

Friday Gudbjørg from school and I had a really good Girl's Night, and when you are two photo nerds together, and (re)discover the amazing light in the hallway in my apartment, we just had to shoot ourselves... (Luckily just with my Nikon ;-)

In addition comes this one, which is taken by Daniel Høyer at school, after I helped hold some light at a shoot at his place. He has a studio in his apartment... totally nice!

Sports Portraits

Wanted to do arranged portraits for the second assignment with Lars Bech, but my arrangement blew off, so I ended up doing semi-arranged ones on people doing different sports. I asked them to close their eyes and think about their goal, what they want to achieve. These are the best ones...

Emin (23) wants to become a professional Kick Boxer and win the World Championship and the European Championship.

Finn Bjørn (42) feels that shoothing with bow and arrow are a kind of meditation that helps him relax.

Jesper (26) wants to win as much as possible and get one professional match.

Andreas (16) wants to go to the World Championship in 2008.

Lasse (22) likes Kick Boxing because he has good friends there, and he wants to become a pro.

Lea (33) started to shoot because of her interest in Science Fiction and the book of S.M.Stirring "Dies the Fire". It's a way for her to get out of the door.

An important place

Last week we had a guest teacher from Finland, Nina Korhonen, at Fatamorgana. She gave us the assignment "A place that is important for me". Since I've only been in Copenhagen for a few weeks I tried to make something on the ocean. At the same time I got to try something completely different from what I usually do. Kind of fun, actually!

Queens of Convenience

Once again I have used Hanne as a model during a Lars Bech workshop. Feels strange, especially since she now works with him, but convenience is sometime something one have to lean on as a photographer... Anyway, this assignment was double: Monday we got three hours to go out and shoot "urban space", and when we got back, Lars gave us a follow-up-assignment shooting the same thing after dark – if possible, or making a portrait that matches, as I did. Some photoshop-work on this one of course...
Does anyone think it works?

My first guest!

Last week my childhood friend Kaja came to visit me from Monday till Thursday. So nice to see her, especially because she has been living in Italy the last year and are on her way back there these days. Thank you for some good hours of exercise (read shopping our feets off), Kaja! And for the weathery walk at the beach!

A Bargain and Weekend Recreation

This weekend I've been hanging out with good old Hanne almost all the time. Friday we were both so tired we just hung out in a cafe having – only one – glass of whine, and then we went out in the dark night (...it was around 9 pm...) and found me a bike (FINALLY!!!). The night was total when we climbed into my big bed and watched 30 minutes of Down with Law before we both were sound asleep...

Saturday I made a great bargain in the secondhand market alongside the cemetery at Nørrebro. This Kodak Retinette was made in 1959 and is sold at ebay for around 50 dollars. I gave 20 kroner, about 3 dollars! I still need to shoot a roll to see what comes out if the thing, though, but anyway, if it doesn't work, it still looks good on the fireplace shelf.

I also got myself a new hobby this weekend. Or, took up an old one, that is. Making ie. door signs with pearls was what I ended up doing today, instead of going to Louisiana to see some great art... Shame on me! But I'll try to get to Louisiana some time this week.

PS: Hanne: Can you see what the second one says?

The grashopper is dead!

I don't want to believe that the girl that lived in my apartment before me wants me dead, but she did leave me a lighter that was an actual death threat... Do I need to tell you that this grasshopper-lighter made of rubber is highly flammable? Anyway, after loosing it's antennas, it's now in my trash basket. To dangerous for me, that one!

Eneboer Eliasson

Så er jeg det endelig. Eneboer.

Natt, natt! Over og ut fra Køben
