It's "nisser" in my street

Ok, now I'm becoming superstitious! First I lost my bike-lights. And last weekend I lost my bike-lock. Ok, that happens. So I bought new lights and a new lock (they're luckily almost free at the cheapy-cheap store Tiger.) Fine. Two days and then my front light went out of power. And the bike-lock was less than a week old before I lost that one as well. Ok, so I got a third one yesterday. And this time I decided always to lock it to my bike when I'm biking. Good plan. The only problem is that this morning, when I was already a bit late for my appointment with my hairdresser, I could not find my bike-keys. And I new I had them on my key-chain last night – because I had to unlock the lock before I could lock the bike outside my door.

So now I think that someone is trying to prevent me from biking. Strange... But after all it's December, and the tiny guys with long beards and blue hats are out and about! Just got to find something to clip my lock with (now it's a good thing that it's cheap and lousy quality), and buy myself the fourth lock - maybe I should get one with a code now?

Autumn on my Holga

China!

Just bought a ticket to Beijing in January! 15 days, visiting Pia and hanging out with the Fatamorgana-people who are there partly at the same time. Nice!

Workshop with a painter

Last week we had a workshop with the danish painter Anders Kirkegaard. We all had to shoot the same things, like a portrait of him and som fruit. After 18 people had used the fruit it was no longer fresh and delicious, but I actually think the rotten look works great.

Trying to catch pneumonia

Went to the beach today to shoot some pics of me and my red raincoat for an assignment with an item that is special to me... With a cold and a great assistant, it went well, until I a couple of hours later found out that I had shoot it all on 1600 iso, and that my cold had returned, stronger than ever. But tomorrow the pants have to go again... F***!
Tara the queen of assistants!

Entering the dark

A lot of talk. That's me. A lot of ideas and things that I wanna do. Too many ideas and too many plans often ends up with none done, nowhere traveled and no goals achieved. Simply said: I want to much. At the same time.

So, it's time to add up what I have achieved, and what I really want to do in the near future. And stop making plans for three year (read: my whole life) ahead.

Achieved:
*Went to Denmark
*Started making photos for real
*Went to Copenhagen
*Started at Fatamorgana
*Live by myself
*Bought an old Polaroid camera (this afternoon)
... and VERY NICE (...and very expensive) photo paper for making (hopefully) some VERY NICE pix in the dark room at school

Goals:
*Use the damn dark room at school for making some very nice and expensive (for my buyers that is) copies of some very nice pictures I have not yet shoot
*Going to China to visit my CPH-friend Pia
*Going to South America with my sister
*Going to NY (and maybe Texas) to work with my Volda/Oslo-friend Randi (and maybe Guro??? maybe somewhere else in the US??? what do you say Guro? Da Capo? New adventures with Bob and Laura?)
*Selling a shit load of pictures and stories from all my adventures
So what do you say? Anyone up for betting money on me getting my ass out of the couch and on a plane? OK, at least bet on me getting into that dark room, please! Anyone?..?

Holga-action

Sat the whole afternoon yesterday scanning negatives at school. Had a few films lying around since summer. So a lot of different stuff, with one thing in common: it's all shot on my beloved (and at times hated) Holga.

Randi and Andrea at Øya - Lars at Tøyen in Oslo and Ingrid somewhere else in Oslo - Guro and Line at Internasjonalen café in Oslo

Ellen C at a bar in Oslo - Ingrid, Guro and Randi at Øya - Hanne in CPH - Tonje in Bogfinkevej in CPH

Hanne in Birkelunden park in Oslo - Lady biking in Fredriksbergsvej in Copenhagen - Andreas and Tonje at Paradisbukta beach in Oslo.

Tonje at "rustur" far out in the forest outside Copenhagen - Niels at "rustur"

G13

Sun and happy faces. Teargas and running eyes. Non violence and a new Danish all time record in arrests in a single day...

Some pix from Saturday. Took quite a few portraits of teargassed kids and grandmothers as well, which I will post when I get the time.

Teargassed again!

Today the people from Ungdomshuset marched again - to take a new house nearby my place. Was out shooting and was teargassed real bad. Miss it, John? Will post some pix when I've got time. Going to a party at Fatamorgana now, all dough I just wanna go to sleep. It's so tiering that gas...

Modelling

The last couple of days I have been in front of the camera as well, even though I don't really like it. The first thing I did was wearing a white brides dress laying on some washing machines... Strange, but if I can be to any help to my classmates... I will post a picture from that as soon as I get Mette to send it to me.

Friday Gudbjørg from school and I had a really good Girl's Night, and when you are two photo nerds together, and (re)discover the amazing light in the hallway in my apartment, we just had to shoot ourselves... (Luckily just with my Nikon ;-)

In addition comes this one, which is taken by Daniel Høyer at school, after I helped hold some light at a shoot at his place. He has a studio in his apartment... totally nice!

Sports Portraits

Wanted to do arranged portraits for the second assignment with Lars Bech, but my arrangement blew off, so I ended up doing semi-arranged ones on people doing different sports. I asked them to close their eyes and think about their goal, what they want to achieve. These are the best ones...

Emin (23) wants to become a professional Kick Boxer and win the World Championship and the European Championship.

Finn Bjørn (42) feels that shoothing with bow and arrow are a kind of meditation that helps him relax.

Jesper (26) wants to win as much as possible and get one professional match.

Andreas (16) wants to go to the World Championship in 2008.

Lasse (22) likes Kick Boxing because he has good friends there, and he wants to become a pro.

Lea (33) started to shoot because of her interest in Science Fiction and the book of S.M.Stirring "Dies the Fire". It's a way for her to get out of the door.

An important place

Last week we had a guest teacher from Finland, Nina Korhonen, at Fatamorgana. She gave us the assignment "A place that is important for me". Since I've only been in Copenhagen for a few weeks I tried to make something on the ocean. At the same time I got to try something completely different from what I usually do. Kind of fun, actually!
